An afternoon of racing, local beer, live music and family entertainment is set to return to Catterick Racecourse on Saturday 30 May for the ever-popular Catterick Beer Festival Raceday.
Now firmly established as one of the most popular fixtures of the racecourse’s Flat season, the event – held in partnership with Pennine Brewing Co – promises an action-packed day of thrilling live racing, award-winning local ales and ciders, live music and free family entertainment.
Returning for its eighth year, Beer Festival Raceday has become a firm favourite with racegoers. Visitors will be able to enjoy a specially selected range of ales and ciders from local independent brewery Pennine Brewing Co throughout the afternoon, while a competitive seven-race card gets underway at 1.55pm. Live band The Black Marcs will perform during the afternoon, with the final race due off at 5.17pm.
The racecourse will remain open until 6.30pm, giving visitors plenty of time to enjoy the music, social atmosphere and beer festival experience after racing concludes.
Debbie Clayton, from Pennine Brewing Co, said:
“We’re really looking forward to being part of raceday and bringing a taste of Pennine Brewing Co to racegoers. We’ll have around a dozen beers available on the day, ranging from traditional ales to lighter golden beers and seasonal specials.
“There’s something special about good racing, live music and proper Yorkshire beer all coming together in one place, and we’re delighted to be involved for another year on what will be a fantastic day.”
The raceday also offers plenty for families, with a host of free children’s attractions in the Course Enclosure - all included with admission. Young racegoers can enjoy the Jungle Run assault course, Meltdown inflatable sweeper game, bouncy castle and soft play area throughout the afternoon.
Emma Stevenson, General Commercial Manager at Catterick Racecourse, said:
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Pennine Brewing Co this year for what promises to be another superb day out – there’s something on offer for everyone to enjoy at this raceday, from the racing action to the live music and beer festival, and free children’s entertainment.”
Gates open at 11.30am.
